As we continue through Winter in the northern hemisphere, the cold weather can limit our activities, and Adventuring is no exception. Creating an indoor Adventure, however, solves any potential weather issues and it doesn’t require the same level of upkeep as a geocache.

Creating an Adventure in an indoor, public space allows you to tell your unique story and perspective of an oft visited place that can inspire and delight any who take on the challenge! Many explorers around the world already realized the incredible potential and created outstanding indoor Adventures in their local communities.

An example of such a creation is Recolecciones, an Adventure in California in SJSU’s Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Library created by digitalfish. In their own words, the indoor Adventure serves to, “provoke your interest and curiosity, encouraging exploration and circulation throughout the library.”

The former functions as a guided tour of California history through architecture, while the latter offers a dynamic way to engage with a location, highlighting interesting spots away from the bustle of the mall’s shops, and fostering community among like-minded people in a location’s area.
