The first 2025 hiding theme: frogs! 🐸

In 2025, we’re celebrating a major milestone—25 years of geocaching! To mark this special anniversary, we’re introducing a new hiding theme per quarter to celebrate geocaches published in 2025. Every three months, we’ll feature geocaches from that quarter’s theme on the Geocaching Blog and social media.

The first theme: Frogs 🐸
There are countless possibilities for what you can attach a container to, place a container under, or use to make a geocache. Be creative, but make sure to follow the geocache hiding guidelines.

Examples to inspire:

  • Toy frogs
  • Lilypad water cache
  • Ceramic garden frogs
  • Paint a frog on a container
  • Signal the Frog® Geocache
  • Tadpoles
  • Fly/insect micro – aka frog food
