Host your 2025 GIFF Event!
The submissions are in! Now, let the Events begin!
The geocaching community is full of storytellers, filmmakers, and artists of all types. The Geocaching International Film Festival (GIFF) is an opportunity for these geocachers to share their cinematic creations with the world.
Celebrate the creativity of the geocaching community by hosting or attending a GIFF Event November 6-16, and vote for your favorite films! Event attendees will earn an exclusive 2025 GIFF souvenir.
Interested in hosting your own GIFF Event? Now is the perfect time to start planning!
How to host a GIFF Event:
- Read the official tips for hosting an Event and the Frequently Asked Questions.
- Submit your Event listing on Geocaching.com at least two weeks prior to the date of your Event.
- Once your Event is published, fill out the GIFF Sign Up Form.
- Wait for your Event to be approved via email by the GIFF team at Geocaching HQ.
Approved Events will be added to the official GIFF 2025 List and will receive the GIFF film reel file prior to the Event.
Tips for hosting a GIFF-tastic Event:
- Where will you host your Event? Don’t forget to choose a venue and get the necessary permissions for hosting your Event.
- What equipment will you use to show the finalist films?
- How many people will come, and how many seats do you need?
- Will your film night have a theme, snacks, or film judging?
This year’s film submissions go above and beyond, with some truly original and unique videos. We can’t wait to share our GIFF joy with the community!
