Empieza a planear tu aventura del fin de semana con estas nuevas herramientas

Las mejores aventuras a menudo requieren planificación, ya que seguramente te llevan fuera de las rutas habituales. ¡Incluso los más experimentados astronautas no se lanzan al espacio sin una planificación previa a la misión!

Así que no es de extrañar que dos de las funciones más solicitadas por los geocachers sean (1) el envío de listas de geocachés de la potente herramienta de búsqueda al dispositivo y (2) guardar geocachés para encontrarlos sin conexión (es decir, sin internet) con la app Geocaching®.

¡Estamos encantados de anunciar que ambas características están ahora disponibles para los usuarios premium! Pruébalas planeando una aventura de geocaching para este fin de semana:

Paso 1: ve a la herramienta de búsqueda para encontrar geocachés en función del terreno, dificultad, tamaño, tipo y mucho más.

Kate’s Binary Challenge #6/Mission Impossible — Geocache of the Week

Geocache GC64BH is the final in a series of 6 geocaches hidden in honor of a geocacher named Kate’s 10th birthday. 1 and 0 make up the binary numbering system, so, naturally, using binary numbers to solve puzzles and gather codes is part of the challenge of finding this cache.

The reward at the end is worth the struggle. Before visiting this cache, you may want to watch (or re-watch) the first Mission Impossible movie. Specifically, the scene in which Tom Cruise lowers himself headfirst into a vault.

Then, go find this cache, which is hidden on the cache owner’s property. You’ll see a brown box on a gate post. Break the cable tie to open it, record the binary code inside, then use a new cable tie from inside the box to secure it again. Convert the binary code to decimal numbering, and add that number to the other codes you’ve collected through the series.

Then and only then will you be able to open the padlock on the little pot nearby, which contains a key. Thought you were done yet? Nope. The key opens another cash box on a pole nearby. Inside is…not the cache, but a remote control. Take a deep breath, channel your inner Tom Cruise (or don’t, whatever floats your boat) and press the down button.

Le Festival International du Film de Géocaching est de retour !

Envoyez votre Film d’Histoire Mémorable pour le GIFF 2016

Lumières ! Caméra ! Action ! Le Festival International du Film de Géocaching est de retour pour la quatrième année de suite.

Par la passé, nous avons regardé des films à propos de ballerines géocachant, des vies secrètes des objets voyageurs, de géocaching dans l’espace et bien d’autres. Il y a eu des rires. Il y a eu des larmes (à cause des rires). Des milliers de géocacheurs ont pris part à une nuit internationale de films.

Le thème GIFF 2016 est le Récit des Moments Mémorables. Nous vous demandons de penser à vos plus remarquables, vos plus exceptionnelles histoires de géocaching … et de les mettre sur caméra.

Soumettez votre film pour le 1er août 2016 pour avoir la chance qu’il soit vu par une audience internationale de géocacheurs. Apprenez-en plus à propos du thème “Récit des Moments Mémorables” et comment soumettre votre film sur le site GIFF 2016.

¡Luces! ¡Cámara! ¡Acción! El Festival Internacional de Cine sobre Geocaching vuelve por cuarto año consecutivo.

En ediciones anteriores, hemos visto películas de bailarinas geocachers, la vida secreta de los rastreables, geocaching en el espacio y mucho más. Hubo risas. Hubo lágrimas (de risa). Miles de geocachers participaron en una noche de cine por todo el mundo.

La temática del GIFF 2016 versará sobre Momentos Dignos que Contar. Te pedimos que pienses en tus más destacadas y excepcionales historias de geocaching… y los lleves a la cámara.

Das “Internationale Geocaching-Film-Festival” ist zurück!

Reicht Eure spektakulären Filme zum GIFF 2016 ein

Licht an! Kamera an! Und bitte! Das “Internationale Geocaching-Film-Festival” ist zum vierten Mal in Folge wieder da.

In der Vergangenheit haben wir uns Filme angeschaut über Geocaching-Ballerinas, das geheime Leben von Trackables, Geocaching im Weltraum und vieles mehr. Es gab Gelächter. Es gab Tränen (wegen des Gelächters). Tausende von Geocachern haben an der weltweiten Filmnacht teilgenommen.

Das Thema des GIFF 2016 lautet: “Momente, die eine Story wert sind”. Erinnert Euch an Eure bemerkenswertesten, außergewöhnlichsten Geocaching-Geschichten … und haltet sie auf Film fest.
