Ein Blick zurück auf 2020

Was für ein Jahr! Für viele von uns war Geocaching wahrscheinlich das einzige, was sich in diesem Jahr voller Unsicherheiten nicht verändert hat.
Natürlich mussten auch wir Pläne verschieben (ja, wir meinen Dich, liebe 20-Jahr-Feier) und in den Zeiten des Lockdowns konnten wir nur von zukünftigen Geocache-Ausflügen träumen. Aber unsere mehr als drei Millionen Geocaches, hunderttausende Cache-Owner, hunderte von ehrenamtlichen Helfern und natürlich alle Geocacher auf der ganzen Welt waren immer bereit und haben nur darauf gewartet weiterzuspielen. In einem Jahr voller Verwirrungen sind wir sicher alle näher zusammengerückt.

Rétrospective 2020

Quelle année nous avons eue ! Pour bon nombre d’entre nous, le géocaching est peut être la seule chose qui n’a pas changé dans une année pleine d’incertitude. Il est certain que nous avons tous dû faire face à des reports de projets (on attend de pied ferme le 20ème Anniversaire de la Célébration) et le confinement nous a permis de rêver à nos futures sorties geocaching. Mais ils sont déjà prêts et n’attendent que notre retour : les plus de trois millions de géocaches, les centaines de milliers de propriétaires de caches, les centaines de bénévoles de la communauté, et bien entendu, les géocacheurs du monde entier. Dans une année pleine de bouleversements, on s’en est sortis tous ensemble.

Mirando hacia atrás en 2020

¡Menudo año hemos tenido! Para muchos de nosotros, el geocaching puede haber sido lo único que no cambió en un año lleno de incertidumbre. Claro, tuvimos nuestra buena ración de planes pospuestos (mira tu Celebración del 200 Aniversario) y nuestros tiempos de encierro nos dejaron soñando con futuras salidas de geocaching. Pero siempre listos y esperando nuestro regreso están los más de tres millones de geocachés, los cientos de miles de propietarios de caché, los cientos de voluntarios de la comunidad y, por supuesto, los geocachers de todo el mundo. En un año lleno de trastornos, seguro que nos unimos.

2020 in the rearview ✌…we mean, year in review.

What a year it has been! For many of us, geocaching may have been the one thing that didn’t change in a year full of uncertainty. Sure, we had our fair share of postponed plans (lookin’ at you 20th Anniversary Celebration) and our times of lockdown leaving us to dream of future cache outings. But always ready and waiting for our return are the three million-plus geocaches, the hundreds of thousands of cache owners, the hundreds of community volunteers, and of course, geocachers all over the world. In a year full of disruption, we sure came together.
