Tenth in the Ring Quest series.


This is the tenth cache of Ring Quest, a twenty-cache series inspired by J.R.R. Tolkien’s The Lord of the Rings.

Ring Quest X: The Seven: Ironfists

Sauron presented seven rings to the Dwarf-lords, the heads of the seven Dwarf clans that lived in the Mountains of the East of Middle-earth. The Ironfists were one of these clans. The Dwarves used their Rings to establish their fabled treasure hoards (which in turn attracted dragons), but Sauron was unable to force the Dwarven bearers to submit to his will. The rings did not even turn them invisible, and they were immune to some of the more detrimental of the rings' effects. The Dwarves' natural hardiness, and the fact that it was only the more powerful Dwarf-lords who possessed them, made them resistant to Sauron's control; however, the rings brought vast wealth to the wearers and caused them to become extremely greedy, which ultimately led to the wielders' ruin. The Ironfists were said to be a greedy, xenophobic, and warlike clan.

This cache is a medium-small container with room for trades. In addition to a log book, it contains information you will need in order to find the final cache of the One Ring, so be sure to bring something to record it. The symbols used are from Khuzdûl, Tolkien’s Dwarvish alphabet.
