This is the sixteenth cache of Ring Quest, a twenty-cache series inspired by J.R.R. Tolkien’s The Lord of the Rings.

Ring Quest XVI: The Seven: Longbeards
The most famous of the seven Dwarven clans are the Longbeards (Sigin-tarâg in Khuzdûl), about whom Tolkien wrote the most. Also known as Durin's Folk, their first king was Durin, one of the seven Fathers of the Dwarves. When Men first migrated west into Rhovanion and Eriador they encountered Durin's Folk. The Longbeards, wisest and most farseeing of the seven kindreds, began dealing with Men and adopted their speech, keeping their own language to themselves. Gimli, who accompanied Frodo as part of the Fellowship of the Ring, was from the Longbeard clan, as was Thorin.
This cache has room for trade swag and contains information you will need to find the final cache of the One Ring, written in letters from the Dwarvish alphabet, so remember to bring something to make notes!
THIS IS THE SECOND LOCATION FOR THIS CACHE. The original was active from July, 2014, until January, 2023, and had 85 finders before it was archived due to the area being bulldozed for highway construction.
