Show us what you discovered while geocaching!

As the year draws to a close, we’d like to remind you to join nearly 30,000 geocachers who have shared a favorite place by logging GC9FAVE, Discovered while geocaching – Locationless Cache. The cache will be archived and locked on January 1, 2024.

Thousands of people have shared stories and photos from amazing places around the world since this Locationless Cache was introduced in August 2022, including a few we’ve highlighted below!

Beardman75’s journey to complete the Multi-Cache GC4CDCM included this spectacular view at Lizard Point in Queensland, Australia.

PundaAir’s experience at Mirador Las Dunas near Maspalomas, Gran Canaria, included an EarthCache (GCA3TN1) and a Virtual Cache (GC7B82C).

ThomasCacher239 and a canine friend visited the Wildkogel in the Kitzbühel Alps to find GC851QR and an incredible view.

Despite camping many times at Bay of Fires National Park in Tasmania in the past, tassietan did not discover Sloopy’s Spa Bath until finding GC301E.

In order to find this special cache, simply revisit and share a favorite local place that you discovered while geocaching. Then, go to the cache page and post your Found it log with

  • One (1) photo of yourself or a personal item at your favorite local place that you discovered while geocaching. At least one photo is required to log this cache (old photos are not permitted).
  • Tell us where the place is located (for example, the city of Paris, or the GC code of a geocache if your log doesn’t contain a spoiler).

Don’t wait until the last minute! Be sure to log the cache by December 31, 2023. Better yet, log GC9FAVE, Discovered while geocaching – Locationless Cache sooner to avoid any potential last-minute issues. We can’t wait to see the places you share.
