Leap Day 2024 souvenir—making up for lost time
Leap Day only comes around once every four years.
For this reason, February 29 is a frenzy of activity for geocachers as they fill in their calendar grids, host Events, and generally try to fit four years’ worth of geocaching into just one day.
In the spirit of making up for lost time, we’re celebrating 2024’s extra day with an extra special souvenir!
How can I earn the souvenir?
Enter through the wormhole and earn the “Leap Day 2024” souvenir by logging any four geocaches, Events, or Adventure Lab® Locations on February 29.

Can I mix and match log types?
Yes! Any combination of geocaches and Adventure Lab Locations logged will count towards the souvenir.
Each cache logged on this rare date represents a find on one of the nonexistent February 29 dates of the past. We’re not saying time travel exists, but we think this is pretty close!
