The June solstice marks the longest day in the Northern Hemisphere and the shortest day in the Southern Hemisphere.

The solstice happens twice a year as the Earth’s poles tilt away or towards the sun, changing the distribution of the Sun’s rays on each hemisphere. In the Northern Hemisphere, this marks the longest day and the beginning of summer. In the Southern Hemisphere, this is the shortest day and the start of winter.
Whichever hemisphere you’re in, the solstice means something to look forward to, as the change of seasons brings new experiences!
