In May of 2003, such a cache was placed in the northern reaches of the United Kingdom and has since been logged by over 2,400 brave adventurers. Just northeast of the Apennine Mountains, which stretch the length of the Italian Peninsula, one can discover the “Most Serene Republic of San Marino!” San Marino is a European microstate enclaved by Italy. Being completely surrounded by Italy plays a tremendous role in the nation’s rich cultural and historical development.
