Today, we released a new country/regional souvenir for the Philippines. If you have found a geocache in the Philippines, you automatically receive the souvenir on your profile.

The Philippines is a country as well as an archipelago in Southeast Asia. It is located in the western Pacific Ocean and consists of about 7,640 islands. The Philippines is defined by its secluded white beaches, emerald rice fields, and turquoise waters. You can also find colorful graffiti-splashed jeepneys, the most common form of transportation throughout the larger cities. The rolling chocolate hills in the Bohol province are some of the Philippines’ most famous landscapes. Legends of how the hills came to be are told throughout the country.

Visit Centre County GeoTour (GT494) invites you on a journey through Happy Valley, Pennsylvania to experience the small-town charm of State College and surrounding villages.

Here, historical landmarks and an abundance of hikes and trails make up Central Pennsylvania. Hike and geocache along the Musser Gap Greenway to Rothrock State Forest, and on to the Appalachian Trail. Explore miles of trails leading to geocaches near the infamous Mount Nittany, through the Scotia Range, and along Spring Creek. There are hundreds of other great caches within an hour’s drive of State College, including some popular Mystery Caches, gadget caches, and Adventure Labs.

Geocache of the Week Flashback Edition: Kjerag

Geocaching has a way of leading us on new adventures to undiscovered locations and views. We have decided to revisit some Geocaches of the Week to show off some of our favorite caches.

This week we’re traveling to Norway to revisit Kjerag (GCXKXJ), a geocache we featured almost seven years ago. The coordinates are on top of Kjerag, a mountain in the Sandnes municipality. Kjerag has many breathtaking photo opportunities. It overlooks the spectacular fjord Lysefjorden, and on a clear day, you can see for miles.
