Gnomes are a common sight in many a garden or front yard, but have you ever seen a group of gnomes living in a tree?

The Holly Hill Gnome Home was started in 2003 when three wandering gnomes (via resident Virginia Morris) asked the City Council to take up residence at the base of a tall, grizzled tree next to the Halifax River.

The original gnomes, Hall, Lee, and Hill were soon joined in their tree home, not only by other formerly gnomadic gnomes, but also by Gnome Place Like Home, our geocache of the week!

There’s gnome place like home for the Holly Hill Gnomes. Image by mmkks.
