Virtually travel to famous mountains with these five geocaches
EarthCaches and Virtual Caches are about discovering a location rather than a container. The requirements for logging these caches vary—you may be required to answer a question about the location, take a picture, complete a task, etc… In any case, you must visit the coordinates before you can post your log.
Though geocachers are certainly reaching new heights as they make their way through Reach the Peak, odds are that few are actually making the trip to Puncak Jaya, or Kilimanjaro to earn points on the leaderboard. They might be hard to get to, but there are many geocaches located by well-known mountains around the world. If making the physical trek to these mountains is out of the question right now, we recommend a tour through the photo galleries of five caches placed near five famous mountains. Each geocache has many impressive photos of breathtaking sights that are sure to transport your mind to higher altitudes.

This Adventure Lab® spotlight takes us to the city of Vejle, Denmark where adventurers must track down clues left by an infamous thief called “The Shadow” and prevent him from stealing a diamond at the city’s art museum. Grab your trench coat and magnifying glass and get ready for some sleuthing as you walk around the city and use your detective skills to complete The Cache of Light Adventure and keep the precious diamond out of the thief’s hands.
The Reach the Peak leaderboard resets on September 6
There’s only a few days left to make it to the summit of Puncak Jaya before the leaderboard resets and we begin our trek to the top of Vinson, the tallest peak in Antarctica during month two of Reach the Peak.

A cache outing just isn’t complete without a furry friend helping you sniff out caches and adding joy to your time on the trail.
