Though travel is not an option for many around the world right now, geocachers around the globe have become “World Explorers” by finding geocaches with different Wonders of the World. Last October we shared a list of actual geocaches placed at the modern Wonders of the World. Now that we have two new sets of wonders, we also have a new list of actual geocaches placed at the Natural Wonders of the World. With the chance to make a find and see some of the most breathtaking natural spaces on our planet, these caches are definitely worth adding to your geocaching bucket list.

A Virtual Cache is about discovering a location rather than a container. The requirements for logging a Virtual Cache vary—you may be required to answer a question about the location, take a picture, complete a task, etc… In any case, you must visit the coordinates before you can post your log.

If hopping on a plane to start a multi-country trip in Europe isn’t quite an option right now, experiencing Europe in a different way certainly is: virtually! They say a picture is worth a thousand words so the key is to get lost on the geocaching map and dive deep into geocache galleries. From there, just add the caches you’re most curious about to a List and you’ll be on your way to having your future adventure planned. As we celebrate the 20th anniversary of the Project A.P.E. promotion, we turn the spotlight to Mission 4: Southern Bowl (GCC67). This is the only continuously existing Project A.P.E. Cache out of the 14 that were placed. Brazilian geocacher Armando Tomé, Danger_Danger, explains why logging this cache is the trip of a lifetime for geocachers.

Now 16 years later, the Lackey coin has reached a new peak in ingenuity with a 3D ammo can design dreamed up by HQ’s Roxxy that will send collectors’ hearts fluttering. Look for the new coin at Shop Geocaching later this month!
