Retour sur le GIFF 2019 et entracte à venir

Les écrans sont de nouveau noirs, le rideau est tombé, et les projecteurs ont perdu en température. Alors que l’odeur de popcorn plane désormais comme un souvenir, le GIFF 2019 est officiellement clôturé.

En novembre dernier, 17 000 géocacheurs ont participé à des events GIFF (Festival International du Film Géocaching). Ils ont célébré les 16 films Finalistes du GIFF depuis des fauteuils de cinéma, des canapés de salons, et aussi des endroits en extérieur à travers le monde. Dans l’ensemble, il s’agissait d’un autre grand rappel sur ce qui fait que l’on aime le géocaching et à quel point cela peut être diversifié.

Rückblick auf und Zukunft für das GIFF

Der Vorhang ist gefallen, die Leinwände sind schwarz und Filmprojektoren sind kalt. Der Geruch von Popcorn ist nur noch eine Erinnerung, denn GIFF 2019 ist offiziell vorbei.

Letzten November nahmen mehr als 18.000 Geocacher an Geocaching International Film Festival Events teil. Auf der ganzen Welt feierten sie 16 GIFF-Finalistenfilme im Kino, dem eigenen Wohnzimmer oder sogar ein paar Outdoor-Locations. Wieder einmal war es eine gute Erinnerung daran, was wir am Geocaching so lieben und wie unterschiedlich es in verschiedenen Ecken der Welt gespielt wird.

Een terugblik op GIFF 2019 en de aankomende pauze

De schermen zijn op zwart gegaan, de gordijnen zijn gesloten en de filmprojectoren zijn afgekoeld. Terwijl de geur van popcorn alleen nog is blijven hangen in ons geheugen, is GIFF 2019 officieel afgesloten.

Afgelopen november hebben meer dan 17.000 geocachers Geocaching Internationaal Film Festival-events bijgewoond. Ze hebben de 16 GIFF-finalisten over de hele wereld geroemd vanuit bioscoopstoelen, zitkamerbanken en op sommige plekken in de buitenlucht. In het algemeen was het weer een goede herinnering aan waarom we van geocachen houden en hoeveel verschillende facetten het heeft.

We are thankful for you!

It’s easy to get caught up in all the festivities this time of year, but we are taking a moment to think about all we are grateful for! We are thankful for the geocaching community, the volunteers, the reviewers, and the translators. We’re thankful for all of the cache owners who are maintaining geocaches that create memories all across the globe. 

As we move ever closer to our 20th year of geocaching, we realize that none of it would be possible without you! We are celebrating the only way we know how, by finding a geocache of course, and we hope you’ll join us!
