Cache Hiding Themes—April: colorful caches
Red, orange, yellow, green, and blue—we love colorful caches, and you do too!
The theme this month challenged geocachers to hide colorful geocaches, and you delivered with every color of the rainbow—sometimes all at once! We’re tickled pink to share some of our favorite hides from this month’s theme:
- GCAJA9D—Bowls of Gold and Gems – Aladdin’s Cave
Opening this cache container instantly transports you to a world of wonder, whimsy, and wishes, thanks to these dazzling decorations! We always knew we’d find gold under the rainbow.
- GCAPHB4—Another Brick in the Graffiti Wall
Image by tela42499. Let your creativity flow with this colorful geocache! In addition to the cache’s logbook, players can sign this miniature wall to their artistic hearts’ content. The cache owner provides tons of colorful supplies, so this cache will only get more colorful over time!
- GCA33KT—🎡Bienvenidos a Wiwok-Noria!🎡 🔦(LUZ U.V.)🔦
Image by Wiwok. What’s more colorful than a carnival? This playful Mystery Cache will have you thinking about colors in more than one way, as a special UV-light tool is needed to reach the logbook and this colorful Ferris wheel hidden inside!

Image by horselady9. Everybody knows geocachers can’t resist colorful buttons! This multicolored gadget cache will test your geocaching knowledge as you determine the “popularity” of different cache types.
Wear your most colorful geocaching gear for bonus points!
- GCAP1T0—ironowa hiro ba いろのわひろば
Image by 10ttl. This cache is colorful in many ways! The posted coordinates outside of Otsuka Station feature a structure illuminated in various colors at night. Not only is this cache’s location full of color, but the theme is, too! Players will solve a puzzle using the SDG color wheel to find an equally colorful geocache!
- GCAMM8X—2024CHT – Colourful Caches (April) – Bonus Cache

This cache takes players through an Adventure Lab® experience around the city as they get to know one of Australia’s most recognizable street artists (and a few others along the way). Thanks to the colorful markers provided by the cache owner, you can even try your hand at a street art signature in the logbook!

Image by Wraarggr! We couldn’t pick a favorite photo of this breathtaking cache, so we figured the more colorful, the better! There’s a lot to look at with this beautiful art installation, so there may be a few red (or, should we say, rainbow) herrings as you search for the cache. The message behind this multicolored masterpiece makes this cache a true winner: kindness rocks!
We are over the moon and the rainbow, seeing these wonderfully colorful hides!
