Our favorite Premium features: Lists

For geocachers who love planning or going off the grid to find a cache, Lists are an essential tool. This Premium feature allows explorers to easily plan future outings, make note of special caches to find on trips, and keep caching on the Geocaching® app even if you can’t connect to the internet. Keep reading to learn about why Lists are a geocacher’s best friend.

Plan ahead
With Lists, organizing a geocaching outing is a breeze. Instead of constantly looking at the app map to choose the cache you’re looking for again and again, you can easily reference a List that has all the caches saved. It only takes a tap or two to bring you to the List and one more tap to pinpoint whichever geocache you want to find.

Make a bucket list
Another great aspect of Lists is that they make it easy to keep track of geocaches that might be far from home, but you still dream of finding. Don’t write off that incredible D5/T5 Mystery Cache near a waterfall! Instead, add it to a “bucket list” with other great caches and dream of the day in the future when you will make the find.

Go off the grid
Every List a Premium member creates can become an offline List. If you download a List for offline use, you can use the Trails map to locate and navigate to those saved geocaches even if you have no internet connection. This is a game changer for outings that take you into nature and off the beaten path.

Share cache outings with friends
Lists also make it easier to go geocaching in a group. On the website you can make a List shareable. Once a List is shareable, you can click the share button and get a link to the List that you can share with all of your caching buddies. Now your squad has an easy way to see the plan for the day and keep track of the progress.
