Lights, Camera, Geocache! Best of: GIFF (Full length video)
From 2013 – 2019 hundreds of filmmakers from around the world submitted their videos to the Geocaching International Film Festival. We saw special effects, expert editing, and amazing creative execution.
We put together a full length “Best of: GIFF” compilation from every year including honorable mentions and winners.

In 2013, an intrepid group of Lackeys banded together to create an Event so spectacular, it would send shockwaves across the international geocaching community: the Geocaching International Film Festival. What first started as an event in Seattle quickly grew to an international phenomenon, with hundreds of annual events in 71 countries.

Screens have faded to black, curtains have been closed, and film projectors have cooled down. As the smell of popcorn lingers now only as a memory, GIFF 2019 has officially concluded.
This past November, over 17,000 geocachers attended Geocaching International Film Festival events. They celebrated the 16 GIFF Finalist films from movie theater chairs, living-room couches, and select outdoor locations across the world. Overall, it was another great reminder of what we love about geocaching and how diverse it can be.

There are now 516 GIFF (Geocaching International Film Festival) Events (and counting!) in 42 countries featuring 16 films. You’ll laugh, you’ll cry, you’ll earn a smiley, and the GIFF 2019 souvenir!
GIFF 2019 is November 7 – 17, 2019. Are you ready? Find a GIFF event near you and log your Will Attend! No events nearby? Try hosting! Just be sure to submit your events by October 24, 2019 so it has time to be published on Geocaching.com!
