Den traditionellen Cache L’Avarizon (GCWNGX) auf der Insel Jersey zu finden ist keine Kleinigkeit. Du musst bei Ebbe etwa eineinhalb Kilometer von einem Strand entlang einer zerklüfteten Küste gehen. Achte darauf, nicht zu lange zu bleiben, sonst bist Du eingeschlossen, wenn die Flut ankommt. In einer ungewöhnlichen Kette von Ereignissen stolperte ein Kind auf andere Art und Weise über den Cache – als dieser über 190 Kilometer entfernt auf der anderen Seite des Ärmelkanals in West Sussex, England, an Land gespült wurde!

About twenty minutes southwest of Las Vegas, Nevada, just off the Interstate 15, you’ll see something extremely unusual, even for “Sin City”. No, it’s not a fancy casino, an ostentatious neon sign, or even the ghost of Elvis. What appears to be a mirage is real: seven towers, each about 30 feet tall, assembled from enormous boulders stacked on top of one another and painted in contrasting fluorescent colors. If you drive along Route 30 in northwest Indiana between the cities of Hobart and Merrillville, you will pass between two famous confectionery suppliers. One of America’s largest candy companies (makers of gummy animals and various chocolates) sits on the eastbound side, while a small local popcorn company (featuring over 200 flavors) sits on the westbound side. This small stretch of road was dubbed “Calorie Alley” for obvious reasons.

But here’s a kernel of truth: “Calorie Alley” is also the name of a sweet geocache for you and your special sugar to discover.
