Diesen November nahmen fast 18.000 Geocacher weltweit an Geocaching International Film Festival Events teil.

Geocaching International Film Festival 2018 in review
This past November, almost 18,000 geocachers attended Geocaching International Film Festival events. From movie theater seats and living-room couches, geocachers all around the world celebrated the 16 GIFF finalist films. We laughed a lot, sniffled a little, and remembered what we love about geocaching.
This year we’re excited to share a very special video created by geocacher and previous GIFF finalist, Geoelmo6000. He gathered and edited footage from this year’s film finalists and GIFF events to create this exclusive recap. Watch the film now:

Porvoo GeoTour of Finland, GT7E

Finland is known as “the land of a thousand lakes” and should also be known as “the land of thousands of geocaches” since it currently hosts 60,000 active geocaches, justifying their ranking as the happiest country in the world. 🙂
But something else bumps up Finland’s geo-happiness rating, and that’s the Porvoo GeoTour, GT7E. The country’s only official GeoTour is comprised of thirteen geocaches, each highlighting a different decade in the history of Finnish independence. There’s even a cache dedicated to the future!
One of the oldest cities in Finland, Porvoo was founded some 800 years ago. This idyllic small city retains much of its traditional nature, including the older buildings and cobblestone streets. Historically a center of trade due to its connection to the Gulf of Finland by the Porvoonjoki River, this area now inspires and is home for several Finnish artists.
So grab your passport, always bring a pen, and let’s adventure to the Porvoo GeoTour!
No strength required, just ingenuity 2 — Geocache of the Week

The cache is located at the top of the Wright State University sign. Seems simple enough, right? Just climb up, grab the cache, and be done with it. But here’s the catch: climbing the structure is not allowed. Plus, judging from the gallery, you may want to bring your friends — lots and lots of friends — for this Geocache of the Week.
