New Geocaching® app update

The recently released 6.0 Geocaching® app showcased an exciting new look for cache details. Today’s 6.1 Geocaching® app release includes some equally fun updates!

  1. View full size souvenir images directly in the app.
  2. Cache sizes will now be labeled as Micro, Small, Regular, and Large to align with Geocaching.com sizing.
  3. Cześć! (Hello!) Polish language is now supported in the app.

Geocacher erobern neue Sphären im Planetary Pursuit

Es war ein großes Abenteuer, das Geocaching-Universum zu entdecken, auf jedem Planeten zu cachen und ein offizieller Weltraumentdecker zu werden. Es waren tatsächlich mehr als 44.500 Geocacher, die in der Freundesliga mehr als 500 Punkte sammelten. Mit diesen Punkten haben sie den Pluto erreicht und sind zu offiziellen Weltraumentdeckern geworden.

Geocachers reach new heights with Planetary Pursuit

It’s been quite the expedition navigating beyond the geocaching universe, caching on every planet to try to become an Official Space Explorer. In fact, over 44,500 geocachers collected over 500 points on their Friend League to reach Pluto, earning the Official Space Explorer souvenir!

In honor of the nine planets (counting dwarf planet, Pluto!) we’re sharing nine fun stats and photos from Planetary Pursuit from around the world and surrounding galaxies!

Los geocachers alcanzan nuevas cimas con la Búsqueda Planetaria

Ha sido toda una expedición navegando a través del universo de geocaching, buscando cachés en cada planeta para intentar convertirse en un Explorador Espacial Oficial. ¡En realidad, 44.500 geocachers reunieron más de 500 puntos en su Liga de Colegas para alcanzar Plutón, consiguiendo el souvenir de Explorador Espacial Oficial!

Geocaching family wins Hurtigruten photo contest and sets sail on a cruise to Norway

Geocaching can take you to amazing places all over the world. For one geocacher, it took her on a Hurtigruten cruise to Norway where she saw northern lights and quaint coastal towns.

In July 2017, Hurtigruten expedition cruises released 3,000 polar bear and penguin trackables for an epic adventure to geocachers in the United States. Geocachers showed how they “connected with their inner explorer” on social media for a chance to receive a seven-day expedition cruise in Norway for two. The photo contest winner, Sarah (@myruggy89), shared with us the story of her trip.
