Talk about cool! Montenegro is a small yet stunning country located in southeastern Europe. Some of Europe’s most rugged mountains, averaging over 2,100 meters (7,000 feet) in elevation, are found here. No need to get cold feet about this Geocache of the Week, Ledena pecina / Ice cave, located in the heart of the highest mountains of Durmitor National Park. It’s nice, nice, baby.

Giddy-up geocachers, a new journey awaits!

From 1821 to 1880, traders hauled manufactured goods from Missouri all the way to Santa Fe. There they traded these goods for silver coins, pelts, and mules. Known as the Santa Fe Trail, this trek spanned five states and nearly 900 miles (1,400 km) of challenging terrain—the early pioneers sure didn’t have it easy.

You too can walk the Santa Fe Trail—luckily for you, there are now paved roads, National Park Service historical markers, over 1000 Favorite points, and 73 geocaches to discover, and on the Santa Fe National Historic Trail GeoTour!

Momentos con souvenir confirmados para 2019

A muchos geocachers les encanta explorar el mundo, hacer planes con antelación y lograr objetivos. Una de las preguntas que más nos hacen es “¿Cuándo es [insertar un momento de geocaching recurrente] este año?” Ahora estamos comunicando a la gente las fechas de los eventos anuales con bastante antelación. Así que, geocachers, este puede ser el año en el que finalmente decidáis asistir a un Evento o incluso, *¡GUAU!* ¡Organizar uno propio!

Además, realizaremos varias promociones el próximo año (similares a la Búsqueda Planetaria y a las Criaturas Ocultas) que aún no estamos listos para anunciar. Veel geocachers houden ervan de wereld te ontdekken, vooruit te plannen en cachedoelen te behalen. Eén van de meest gestelde vragen die we krijgen is: “Wanneer is [vul terugkerend geocachingmoment in] dit jaar?” Nu laten we mensen de data voor jaarlijks terugkerende gebeurtenissen ruim van tevoren weten. Dus cachers, dit kan het jaar zijn waarin je besluit een event te bezoeken of zelfs *AHUM!* er één te organiseren!

We zullen als extra ook nog een aantal promoties doen het komende jaar (vergelijkbaar met Ruimte-achtervolging en Verborgen wezens), maar daar kunnen we nog niet te veel over zeggen. Volg ons ook via de Geocaching blog, Facebook, Twitter en nieuwsbrieven (meld je hier aan) voor meer informatie wanneer we deze geo-momenten lanceren.

Les périodes officielles d’acquisition de Souvenirs pour 2019

La plupart des géocacheurs aiment explorer le monde, se fixer et atteindre des objectifs. Une des questions les plus couramment posée est “mais quand est ce que [insérez ici un événement géocaching récurrent] a lieu cette année ?” Maintenant, nous informons les gens sur les dates des événements annuels longtemps à l’avance. Alors les géocacheurs, c’est peut-être l’année ou vous allez finalement vous décider à participer à un Event ou même, *fichtre!*, en organiser un !

En plus, nous allons cette année encore organiser plusieurs quêtes (comme la Poursuite Planétaire, ou les Créatures Cachées) que nous ne sommes pas encore prêts à annoncer.  Assurez-vous de suivre le blog Geocaching, Facebook, Twitter et le bulletin d’information (inscrivez-vous ici) pour plus d’informations à mesure que nous dévoilerons ces géo-moments.
