Learn something new on International EarthCache Day

On Saturday, October 7 and Sunday, October 8, earn a new souvenir by learning about the Earth! All you have to do is go out and find an EarthCache during the weekend of International EarthCache Day 2017!

Finding an EarthCache is a great way to learn about the Earth. These geocaches do not have physical containers, but instead bring you to unique locations to teach you a geological science lesson.

For some, home away from home is being in the great outdoors en route to a cache. On a popular bike route in central Sweden there is a cache that made many geocachers feel at home because they are literally in a home once they arrive at the cache. 275 of them to be precise. That’s how many geocachers have logged a smiley at Östanbyn — and of them over 70% awarded this cache a Favorite point.

Auf dem Weg zum nördlichsten Geocache Kontinentaleuropas

Geocacher Nicole Wunram (Die Hexe) und Markus Gründel (schlumbum) haben in den letzten zwei Monaten über 8.500 Kilometer mit ihrem Renault Twingo zurückgelegt. Ihr Ziel war es, den nördlichsten Geocache Kontinentaleuropas „Nothing but stones“ (GCJNWJ) auf dem Nordkinn zu finden. Auch in diesem Fall hat sich gezeigt, dass der Weg das Ziel war. Nous avons mis à jour les Guidelines pour placer une Géocache

Aujourd’hui, Geocaching HQ publie une mise à jour des guidelines pour placer des caches. L’objectif principal de la mise à jour est de rendre les Guidelines pour placer une Géocache plus simples à lire et à comprendre. Voici ce que nous avons fait pour atteindre cet objectif :

  • Amélioré la mise en page des guidelines
  • Rendu le texte plus clair
  • Réduit le nombre de mots de 15%
  • Bougé les éléments nécessaires vers le Centre d’Aide
  • Ajouté quelques changements ou clarifications sur certaines règles.

En plus des mises à jour du texte, la page a eu un rafraîchissement, dont une meilleure navigation ! Lisez les nouvelles règles.

Hoy, Geocaching HQ está publicando directrices actualizadas para ocultar cachés. El objetivo principal de la actualización es hacer que las Directrices para Ocultar Geocachés sean más fáciles de leer y entender. Esto es lo que hemos hecho para lograr ese objetivo:

  • Mejora del diseño de la guía
  • Hemos hecho el texto más claro
  • Reducido un 15% el número de palabras
  • Trasladado el material de apoyo al Centro de Ayuda
  • Añadidos cambios o aclaraciones en directrices específicas

Además de las actualizaciones de texto, la página tiene un lavado de cara, ¡incluida una mejor navegación! Lee las nuevas directrices.
