Don’t let the weather stop you from starting 2018 on the best note with geocaching! This year, we’re raising the stakes: find a cache or attend an event on December 31 and January 1 to earn the Last Cache of 2017 and First Cache of 2018 souvenirs. We’ve compiled a list of suggestions to help you up your find count and expand your souvenir inventory, no matter the season.
Last May we announced that changes were coming to your Profile and Dashboard. However, this release was different. Instead of releasing big changes every few months we wanted to be agile and update features quickly to get them ready for you to play with. We listened to your feedback through surveys and the forums to tweak and adjust pages until they were just right.
Today we’re excited to announce another improvement to your Profile and Dashboard based on your feedback. You can now customize your “/my page” with your own cover image. To customize your image, visit your Profile Settings and upload a photo in the “Cover Photo” section. The new photo will only appear on the new version of the Profile and Dashboard on web.
Finland. Land of the midnight sun and Land of a thousand lakes. Finland should really be known as the “land of tens of thousands of lakes and islands” because there are actually 187,888 lakes and 179,888 islands in the country (side note: who counts these things?).
Finland recently celebrated its 100th anniversary of independence. Many places around the world celebrated by lighting their own famous landmarks in Finland’s national colors of blue and white. Here some additional fun Finnish facts:
