Is your GIFF film ready for the red carpet? Enter your film into the festival for the chance to have your geocaching film viewed by thousands of people all over the world. There’s just over one week left to edit those transitions, make any last changes, and export that video file. The deadline to submit a film to the 2023 Geocaching International Film Festival is Thursday, August 3.
Maker Magic events: Cache creation and inspiration
From June 13–July 3, geocachers in 45 different countries hosted over 600 Maker Magic events, enchanting attendees with information and workshops about creating spellbinding new geocaches. From building gadget caches to teaching about caches requiring climbing equipment, the community took these special events as an opportunity to express their creativity which led to some exceptional new caches on the map. Adventure Lab® Spotlight: An Adventure In The Forest
Our next Adventure Lab spotlight takes you to a place that sounds like the setting of a fairy tale. The Adventure, An Adventure In The Forest, invites you to discover the natural beauty of the Queen Elizabeth Forest Park in Scotland. Walk along woodland paths, see the animals of the forest scamper and run around the trees, and stumble upon a waterfall that Adventure’s creator, Nirikina, says “appears as if by magic.”
