Viele Geocacher mögen es, die Welt zu entdecken, voraus zu planen und Geocaching-Ziele zu erreichen. Eine der häufigsten Fragen, die wir hören, ist “Wann ist [wiederkehrendes Geocaching Event eingeben] dieses Jahr?” Ab sofort geben wir den Leuten die Daten für jährlich wiederkehrende Events frühzeitig bekannt. Geocacher: Vielleicht entscheidest Du Dich in 2019, endlich an einem Event teilzunehmen oder sogar selbst eines zu veranstalten!

Zusätzlich werden wir im kommenden Jahr einige Promotionen (ähnlich wie die “Planetary Pursuit” oder “Hidden Creatures“) durchführen, doch hier sind wir noch nicht ganz soweit um diese bekannt zu geben. Le Festival International du Film Géocaching 2018 à l’étude

En novembre dernier, près de 18 000 géocacheurs ont participé à des events pour le Festival International du Film Géocaching. Depuis des sièges de cinéma ou des canapés dans leurs salons, les géocacheurs du monde entier ont célébré les 16 finalistes des films GIFF. Nous avons beaucoup ri, nous avons un peu pleuré, et nous nous sommes remémoré ce que nous aimons dans le Géocaching.

Geocaching International Film Festival 2018 in review

This past November, almost 18,000 geocachers attended Geocaching International Film Festival events. From movie theater seats and living-room couches, geocachers all around the world celebrated the 16 GIFF finalist films. We laughed a lot, sniffled a little, and remembered what we love about geocaching.

This year we’re excited to share a very special video created by geocacher and previous GIFF finalist, Geoelmo6000. He gathered and edited footage from this year’s film finalists and GIFF events to create this exclusive recap. Watch the film now: 

Interested in submitting your own film and participating in next year’s festival? Learn how at the GIFF website. You have some time but you may want to start sketching your storyboards. The deadline for next year’s film entries is August 1, 2019.
